St. Aloysius High School Holds PTA Annual General Body Meeting

Mangaluru: The Annual General Body Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) was held in the High School Hall at 3:30 p.m. The programme commenced with a prayer song by the PTA Executive Committee members, invoking God’s blessings. The gathering also paid tribute to Late Rev. Fr. Melwin Pinto SJ, remembering his dedicated service and valuable contributions.

Mrs. Edna Mascarenhas, PTA Secretary, presented the Annual Report and the Statement of Accounts for the academic year 2025–26. She also presented the Budget for 2026–27, which was unanimously approved by the General Body.

The dignitaries, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, Rector; Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto SJ, Headmaster; Mr. Lancy D’Souza, PTA President; and Mrs. Reshma Bhat, PTA Vice-President, were escorted to the dais by Mrs. Edna Mascarenhas, who also announced the names of the newly elected Executive Committee members.

The Assistant Headmaster announced the appointment of Mrs. Jasmine D’Souza as the new PTA Vice-President.

The outgoing Vice-President, Mrs. Reshma Bhat, was felicitated by the dignitaries in recognition of her dedicated service. The outgoing PTA Executive Committee members were also honoured by the Headmaster for their valuable contributions to the association.

Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto SJ, Headmaster, thanked the parents for their gracious presence and appreciated the PTA Executive Committee members for their commitment, dedication, and hard work throughout the year.

In his address, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, Rector, expressed gratitude to the parents for the trust they had placed in the institution. He congratulated the teachers for their significant role in shaping the lives of students and encouraged the students to become a “symphony of love.” He also urged parents to instill in their children a spirit of service and compassion.

The programme also honoured the top scorers in the SSLC Examination 2025–26. Master Lagan J. S. from the English Medium section and Miss Yukthi from the Kannada Medium section shared their memorable experiences and expressed gratitude to the school for its guidance and support.

The programme was gracefully compered by Mrs. Laveena Moras. Mrs. Reshma Bhat welcomed the gathering, while the vote of thanks was proposed by the newly elected PTA Vice-President, Mrs. Jasmine D’Souza.

The meeting concluded with the National Anthem.
