Father Muller Medical College Hospital Launches Heart Health Package on World Heart Day
Mangaluru, Sept 29, 2025 – In observance of World Heart Day, Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) launched a Healthy Heart Checkup Package aimed at encouraging preventive cardiac care and promoting heart health awareness among the public.
The brochure unveiling ceremony was held on the hospital premises, with Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI), and Rev. Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator of FMMCH, jointly launching the package in the presence of the Department of Cardiology faculty.
The initiative was curated under the leadership of Dr Pradeep Pereira, Head of the Department of Cardiology, as part of a sustained effort to provide accessible and affordable cardiac screening. The package will be available from 29th September to 13th October 2025, strictly by prior appointment.
A team of specialists—Dr H Prabhakar, Chief Cardiologist; Dr Jostol Pinto, Associate Professor of Cardiology; and Dr Ashoka, Assistant Professor of Cardiology—will deliver comprehensive cardiac evaluations tailored to patient needs.
The heart health packages include:
- Complete Heart Checkup Package – ₹3,600/-
- ECHO + TMT – ₹2,000/-
- Calcium Scoring – ₹2,500/-
- Blood Work + Coronary Angiogram – ₹8,500/-
The Complete Heart Checkup Package features a range of tests including lipid profile, blood sugar, kidney profile, urine examination, USG abdomen, chest X-ray, ECG, 2D ECHO with Colour Doppler, and TMT. The Calcium Scoring service offers an advanced screening method to identify early signs of coronary artery disease.

Earlier the same morning, at 8:30 AM, Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo also blessed and inaugurated newly added facilities, including the High-Capacity Lift (located near the 3T MRI), the OPD of Interventional Radiology, and the Procedure Rooms for Interventional Radiology and Urology on the first floor of the hospital’s northern wing.
The event was attended by members of the Management Committee, faculty, staff, and well-wishers. During his address, Fr Faustine emphasized the importance of compassionate service, praying that all patients who seek care at Father Muller may find healing. He also highlighted that the hospital’s infrastructure upgrades are designed to meet the growing healthcare demands of the region.
The blessing ceremony was coordinated by Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, with spiritual guidance led by Fr John Vas, Chief Chaplain; Sr Nancy Mathias, Chief Nursing Officer; and Mother Malini, OPD ANS. Dr Kelvin Pais, Liaison Officer, served as the master of ceremonies.
The continued development of infrastructure and introduction of advanced screening packages underline Father Muller’s commitment to medical excellence. The institution remains a symbol of faith, healing, and service for the community it has served for over a century.
