Organised by the students of Grades V B and C, the programme highlighted the importance of forest conservation, biodiversity, and ecological balance, inspiring everyone to work towards a greener and more sustainable future.
The celebration commenced with a prayer seeking God’s blessings and guidance in caring for Mother Earth. The chief guest, Mr Dinesh Holla—renowned artist, author, environmentalist, trek organiser, and internationally acclaimed kite designer—was warmly welcomed by the gathering. The programme opened with a vibrant welcome dance celebrating the beauty and harmony of nature. Jessica Jeena Gabriella welcomed the gathering, while Principal Sr Therese Teena A.C. honoured the chief guest with a green sapling as a symbol of gratitude and environmental responsibility.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the ceremonial planting of saplings by the dignitaries, accompanied by members of the Eco Club holding saplings, symbolising hope and a shared commitment to protecting the environment. The students further reaffirmed their dedication to nature by taking the Green Pledge, confidently led by Ayesha Suha.
The programme featured a melodious song celebrating the beauty of nature, followed by an informative presentation on the significance of Vanamahotsava and its role in promoting environmental conservation. A vibrant dance titled “Nature in Motion” portrayed the grace and splendour of the natural world, while the thought-provoking skit “The Last Tree’s Message” delivered a powerful appeal to protect forests and highlighted the consequences of environmental degradation. The cultural programme concluded with the energetic dance “Celebrating Nature,” paying tribute to the abundance and beauty of Mother Earth.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Dinesh Holla emphasised the urgent need to conserve forests and protect the rich biodiversity of the Western Ghats. He encouraged students to become responsible environmental stewards through conscious and sustainable actions. Echoing his message, Principal Sr Therese Teena A.C. reminded students that trees are the lifeline of the planet and urged them to plant, nurture, and protect them with dedication.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Arvin Noah Lobo, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, staff, and students for their contributions. On the occasion, winners of the Drawing, Speak and Sparkle, and Poem Recital competitions conducted in June were felicitated with certificates and medals in recognition of their creativity, confidence, and talent.
The event was gracefully compered by Pradyumna and Ayesha Tafheem, whose confident presentation ensured the smooth flow of the programme.
As an extension of the Vanamahotsava celebrations, members of the Eco Club distributed seven saplings to Ladyhill Higher Primary School and presented saplings to Ladyhill Convent Superior Sr Maria Kripa A.C., promoting the message of environmental stewardship and encouraging the planting and nurturing of trees.
