Vanamahotsava Celebrated at St Theresa Church, Paldane
Mangaluru: Vanamahotsava was celebrated at St Theresa Church, Paldane, on Sunday, July 5, with a tree-planting programme held after the first Holy Mass in the presence of parishioners.
The programme was jointly organised by the Parish Environment Commission, ICYM, and YCS as part of their initiative to promote environmental awareness and conservation.
The event was inaugurated by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, who planted a jackfruit sapling, symbolising the parish’s commitment to protecting and preserving the environment.
Among those present were Assistant Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Coelho, Vice President Elias Fernandes, Secretary Roshan Monteiro, All Commissions Coordinator William Lobo, Environment Commission Convener Vincent Pinto, commission members Patsy Monteiro and Lavina Serrao, ICYM President Darren Aranha, YCS President Shanal Sequeira, Finance Committee member Melvin D’Souza, and other parishioners.
