SJEC Student Qualifies for International Yoga Championship after Stellar National-Level Performance
Mangaluru: Mr Nikhil A. Poojary, a second-year student of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) at St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), has brought laurels to the institution by qualifying to represent India at the International Yoga Championship 2026 following an outstanding performance at the WFFYS Indian National Yogasana Sports Championship 2026.
The national championship was held at COER University, Roorkee, from June 26 to 28, 2026, and witnessed the participation of talented Yogasana athletes from across the country.
Nikhil delivered an exceptional performance, securing first place in the Artistic Solo Yoga Championship and sixth place in the Traditional Yoga Championship.

His impressive achievements have earned him a place on the Indian team for the International Yoga Championship, which is scheduled to be held in Thailand in September 2026.
The Management, Principal, faculty, staff, and students of St Joseph Engineering College congratulated Mr Nikhil A. Poojary on his remarkable accomplishment and wished him every success as he prepares to represent India on the international stage.
