Children’s Day Celebrated with Joy by Mount Carmel KG & Primary Section

Mangaluru: The Kindergarten and Primary section of Mount Carmel Central School celebrated Children’s Day on 14 November 2025 with enthusiasm and warmth in the school auditorium. The programme reflected Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s belief that children are the nation’s greatest strength.

The event began with a heartfelt prayer service, followed by a lively Welcome Act by the teachers. Sisters Carissima, Asha Preema and Reshma, along with class representatives from KG to Grade 4, offered a floral tribute to Pandit Nehru.

Principal Sr Melissa greeted the students with inspiring words, motivating them to dream big and grow into confident and compassionate individuals.

The celebration featured a variety of performances — a fun-filled comedy dance act, a melodious singing performance, and a high-energy power-packed dance that delighted the young audience.

Sister Asha Prima, Superior of Vijaymari Convent, shared encouraging words, while Sister Carissima, the Administrator, blessed the children and reminded them of their unique talents.

Prize winners from Nursery and Kindergarten competitions were honoured during the event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shaun Mark of Grade 4C, expressing appreciation to everyone involved.

The celebration concluded with a cheerful mass dance by teachers and students, followed by a refreshing ice-cream treat. The event was smoothly compered by Teachers Linet and Rakshitha.
