Padua College of Commerce and Management Hosts ‘Utkarsha–2026’ Induction Programme
Mangaluru, July 24: Padua College of Commerce and Management organised ‘Utkarsha–2026’, its induction programme for newly admitted students, on July 24, marking the beginning of the new academic year with an inspiring orientation session.
The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, Principal of the college and Campus Director of the Padua Group of Educational Institutions.
The chief guest, Abhilash Kshatriya, an ICF CCE-certified trainer and coach, Director of Akshaya Group of Institutions, and Founder of Abhijna Education, encouraged first-year students to develop the qualities and values needed to become responsible and exemplary citizens. He emphasised that, besides academic excellence, Generation Z students must acquire soft skills and practical competencies to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.

In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo highlighted the importance of discipline, punctuality and effective time management. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to maintaining a drug-free campus and urged students to respect their teachers, embrace strong moral values, and make the most of the opportunities available during their college journey.
Vice Principal and programme coordinator Mr. Roshan Vincy Santhumayor briefed the students on the various certificate courses offered by the college and encouraged them to enhance their skills through value-added learning opportunities.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Zeena Cornelio, programme coordinator. It was compered by Ms. Jeslin D’Souza, Head of the Department of BCA, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Lester Coutinho. Prof. Santosh, programme coordinator, was also present.
