INNOVISTA Marks the 17th Annual Day Celebration of Grades V to XII at Mount Carmel Central School

Mangaluru: INNOVISTA – 2025, the 17th Annual Day Celebration of Grades V to XII of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, was celebrated with grandeur and artistic brilliance on 28 November 2025 in the school auditorium. The occasion radiated pride, creativity, and the true Carmel spirit.

The Chief Guest Mr Roy Castelino, along with Superior Sr Asha Prima, Administrator Sr Carissima, Principal Sr Melissa, Vice Principal Sr Teena, and PTA Vice President Mr Ananthesh Prabhu, was ceremoniously welcomed into the campus by the NCC cadets, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the school band. The gathering received the dignitaries with warm applause, honouring the Chief Guest’s distinguished contribution to society.

The Masters of Ceremony set a graceful tone for the evening, leading into a soulful Orchestra performance, a Prayer Song, and a vibrant Welcome Dance, marking the ceremonial beginning of the festivities.

Cultural Performances

Principal Sr Melissa extended the welcome address, honouring the Chief Guest and highlighting his achievements. The students then presented a delightful sequence of performances—

• Innovision: The Dance of Discovery (Grade 5)
• The Smart Home Helpers – English Skit (Grades 5 & 6)
• Let the World Breathe Peace – thematic dance (Grade 6)
• Tableau: The Legacy of Venerable Mother Veronica, a visual tribute to the foundress of the Apostolic Carmel

Honouring Excellence

The school’s progress and accomplishments were showcased through the Annual Report 2025. The prestigious Mother Veronica Excellence Awards were conferred on outstanding achievers of Grades X and XII.

A proud moment followed as national-level skating champion Jesnia Correa was honoured for her exceptional achievements, along with her father Mr Jerome Correa, for bringing glory to the institution.

Inspirational Address

Chief Guest Mr Roy Castelino delivered an impactful message, encouraging students to contribute to nation-building. Emphasizing a vision for Vikshit Bharat, he highlighted four pillars—quality education, safety for women, technological support for farmers, and upliftment of the poor. He urged the youth to build a nation free from the Three C’s – corruption, communalism, casteism, reinforcing that real progress begins with unity and integrity.

Teacher Leena proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the programme.

Cultural Finale

The celebrations continued with:

• English & Hindi group songs
• Skit on Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam – The Wings of Fire
• Tribute to Indian Women’s Cricket (Grades 7 & 8)
• Fashion presentation by Grade 11 showcasing harmony between nature and technology
• Yoga, Aerobics & Pyramid displays
• Mime on family values
• Seasonal dance presentation by Grades 8 & 9 featuring creative puppetry

The event was professionally compered by Christon, Chelsea, Shanvil, Mithali, Tanvi, Rishal, Venisha, Ishan, Austin, Nigel, Lavanya, Reyansh, Rishen and Anlyn.

The celebration concluded with the School Anthem, sung in unity and gratitude.
