MCC Bank Marks 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Spirit
Mangaluru, 15 August 2025: MCC Bank Ltd. celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with grandeur at its Administrative Office, uniting staff, dignitaries, and well-wishers in a vibrant tribute to the nation’s freedom.
Chairman Sahakara Ratna Mr. Anil Lobo presided over the ceremony. Chief Guests included Mr. Padhmaraj R. Poojary, Advocate, Notary Public, Treasurer of Kudroli Temple Trust, and social worker, and Mr. A.C. Vinayaraj, Advocate and Corporator of Court Yard. Former Vice Chairman Prof. Edmund Frank and Former Professional Director Mr. Michael Dsouza were Guests of Honour.


The highlight of the programme was the flag hoisting by Mr. Padhmaraj, followed by the National Anthem. In their addresses, Mr. Padhmaraj urged citizens to uphold constitutional values, while Mr. Vinayaraj emphasised Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of non-violence.
The Bank honoured Mangaluru City Traffic Wardens—Mr. Francis Maxim Moras, Mr. Sunil John Dsouza, Mrs. Jayanthi, and Mr. Marcel John Rodrigues—for their dedicated service. Professional Director Mr. Sushanth Saldanha was recognised for his election as President of the Mangalore Diocese Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild, and Director Mr. Roshan Dsouza for 25 years of distinguished advocacy.
The programme included a prayer song by Mr. Alwyn Dsouza and team, and patriotic songs that uplifted the gathering. Vice Chairman Mr. Jerald Jude Dsilva, Directors, and staff attended. Mr. Jaison Shirthady compered the event, with a vote of thanks by General Manager Mr. Sunil Menezes.
The celebration reflected MCC Bank’s commitment to community service and national values.
