ProjectVerse 2026 Showcases Student Software Innovations at St Philomena College, Puttur

Puttur, July 20: The Postgraduate Department of Computer Applications, in association with the Techfinity Tech Club of St Philomena College (Autonomous), Puttur, organised ProjectVerse 2026, a student software project and innovation showcase, providing a platform for students to present their technological innovations and software solutions.

The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, who encouraged students to embrace innovation while remaining rooted in strong human values.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Monteiro said that innovation and entrepreneurship have become key drivers of success in today’s rapidly evolving world. He observed that technological advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence, digital technology, and software development, continue to create new opportunities, making it essential for students to remain lifelong learners and adapt to emerging technologies.

He urged students not only to keep pace with technological changes but also to become innovators capable of creating meaningful solutions. Stressing the importance of values alongside technical expertise, he remarked that while knowledge equips individuals with skills, values shape their character. He encouraged students to grow into competent technology professionals as well as responsible and compassionate human beings.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by first-year MCA student Rakshitha K. R. and her team. Dr. Vinayachandra, Dean of the Postgraduate Department of Computer Applications, welcomed the gathering and introduced the objectives of the event. Akshatha B., Director of the Techfinity Tech Club, proposed the vote of thanks, while Neelam Kuttappa, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, compered the programme.

The event featured an exhibition of innovative software projects, websites, mobile applications, and technology-based solutions developed by second-year MCA students. The projects were showcased before the Principal, faculty members, and students, highlighting the learners’ creativity, technical competence, and problem-solving abilities.

The programme was organised with the support of Shodhan P. G., Assistant Professor in the Postgraduate Department of Computer Applications, and first-year MCA student Venugopal.

The showcase witnessed enthusiastic participation from first-year MCA students, final-year BCA and BCA (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) students, and first- and second-year B.Sc. Data Science students, making ProjectVerse 2026 a vibrant celebration of innovation, collaboration, and emerging technological talent.
