PTA General Body Meeting Held at Mount Carmel Central School: A Confluence of Collaboration and Commitment
Mangaluru, July 12: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, hosted its PTA General Body Meeting for the academic year 2025–26 in the school auditorium, uniting educators and parents in a shared mission of nurturing young minds. The gathering echoed the school’s vision of fostering dreams, igniting passions, and shaping students into confident individuals with limitless potential.
The morning began on a spiritual note with a melodious invocation by the school choir, followed by a graceful welcome dance performed by the students of Grade V, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage.
Principal Sr Melissa welcomed the gathering and extended a special greeting to the keynote speaker, Mrs Shashikala B, Senior Counsellor and Coordinator at Dr Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, along with her team members Mr Ashwith and Mr Nandakishore. She also appreciated the efforts of the outgoing PTEC members and the teaching faculty whose commitment forms the backbone of the institution.

















Tr Reshma, PTA Secretary, presented a detailed Annual Report outlining the highlights and accomplishments of the PTA during the academic year 2024–25. This was followed by Tr Lavita, PTA Treasurer, who shared the audited financial report, reflecting transparency and accountability.
The election of the new Executive Committee for 2025–26 was conducted smoothly under the supervision of Sr Carissima, School Administrator. Principal Sr Melissa expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing committee and warmly welcomed the new team, encouraging active participation for the year ahead.
A proud moment ensued with the felicitation of the Grade X and XII toppers from the 2024–25 Board Examinations. Their academic excellence, along with the support of their parents, was recognised and applauded by all present.




















The keynote address by Mrs Shashikala B on “Mental Health and Well-being of Students” captivated the audience. Emphasising the importance of emotional support and raising awareness on drug abuse, her session left a profound impact on both parents and educators.
Mrs Preema D’Cunha, PTA Vice President, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the day’s event.
The programme was gracefully anchored by Tr Reema, who ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The PTA meeting served as a reaffirmation of the school’s commitment to fostering a strong parent-teacher partnership, paving the way for the holistic development of every child.
