Roy Castelino Elected President of Rachana, Catholic Chamber of Commerce & Industry
Mangaluru: The 26th General Body Meeting of Rachana – Catholic Chamber of Commerce & Industry was held on 16 November 2025 at Bendoor Hall, where renowned Catholic leader and entrepreneur Roy Castelino was unanimously elected as the President for the upcoming two-year term.
The election marks an important leadership transition for Rachana, a prominent organisation committed to promoting entrepreneurship, professional excellence, and socio-economic development within the Catholic community of Mangaluru.
A respected figure in the region’s business sector, Roy Castelino brings extensive experience, dynamic leadership, and a deep understanding of community development to his new role. Members expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen Rachana’s initiatives and expand its impact.

Along with the President, several key office bearers were elected to the Executive Committee:
- Vice President: Leslie Rego
- Secretary: Alron Rodrigues
- Joint Secretary: James J. Madtha
- Treasurer: Naveen Lobo
The Governing Body members elected for the term are:
Marcel Monteiro, Ronald Gomes, Stany Alvares, William D’Souza, Nelson Monteiro, and Sunil Vas. Their combined expertise and long-standing involvement in community and business affairs are expected to contribute significantly to the organisation’s strategic direction.
