St Agnes College Honours Business Analytics Achievers, Welcomes Freshers
Mangaluru, July 15: The Department of Commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, in association with Miles Education, organised an Orientation Programme and Felicitation Ceremony for Business Analytics achievers on July 15 at A4 Hall, Avila Block. The programme welcomed first-year students of the Business Analytics programme and celebrated the achievements of the inaugural batch of B.Com and BBA (Business Analytics) students.
Welcoming the gathering, Mrs. Vineetha N. T., Head of the Department of Commerce, greeted the dignitaries, representatives of Miles Education, faculty members, students and guests. The programme was compered by Mr. Rangel Monis, a final-year Business Analytics student.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of the inaugural batch (2023–2026), which recorded a 100 per cent pass result in the AICPA Certification in Business Analytics Examination conducted in May 2026. All 12 students who appeared for the examination successfully cleared it, while the remaining students of the batch also completed the Business Analytics Examination successfully.
Mrs. Nimitha K., Business Analytics Coordinator, invited the achievers to the stage as trophies and certificates were presented to Pratheeksha B., Vaishnavi A., Terence Fernandes, Susena Pereira, Shrehitha K., Dan Charles, Sohan, Lenita Lobo, Santhusht Kurian Mathews, Alston Sequeira, Aishwarya K., and Ishwitha Menezes. Certificates were also distributed to students who completed the Business Analytics Examination.
A special recognition was accorded to Pratheeksha B. for independently developing an SQL-based project titled “Diwali Sale Analysis” and showcasing it on professional platforms such as GitHub and LinkedIn. It was also announced that she has recently begun her career as a Data Analyst.
The orientation session was conducted by Ms. Kiruba Nagini, Senior Trainer, Miles Education, who explained the structure of the Business Analytics programme, professional certification pathways, industry expectations and career opportunities. She encouraged students to make the most of the learning opportunities offered through the collaboration with Miles Education.
Mr. Syed Basith, Regional Manager, Miles Education, was also present, reaffirming the partnership between the institution and Miles Education in providing industry-oriented education and globally recognised certifications.
Addressing the students, Principal Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C. congratulated the achievers and urged the newly admitted students to embrace emerging technologies, remain committed to continuous learning and strive for professional excellence. She also appreciated the collaboration with Miles Education in preparing students for successful careers in Business Analytics.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Fredvin Crasta, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, resource persons, representatives of Miles Education, faculty members, students and organisers.
The event served as both a celebration of the inaugural batch’s outstanding success and an inspiration for the new students to pursue academic excellence and build rewarding careers in the rapidly evolving field of Business Analytics.
