St Philomena College Cadet Wins Silver and Bronze at All India Nau Sainik Camp 2026
Puttur, July 16: Cadet Captain Diganth V. S. of St Philomena College (Autonomous), Puttur, has brought laurels to the institution by winning two medals at the prestigious All India Nau Sainik Camp (AINSC) 2026, held at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, Maharashtra, from July 1 to 12.
Representing the Karnataka and Goa Directorate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Diganth competed against the country’s top Naval Wing cadets in one of the NCC’s most challenging national-level camps. Displaying exceptional discipline, endurance and professional competence, he secured the Silver Medal in the Cross-Country event and the Bronze Medal in the Service Subject Examinations.
The achievement reflects Diganth’s dedication, perseverance and rigorous preparation, while also highlighting the quality of training provided by the NCC Naval Wing of St Philomena College, which has consistently nurtured cadets for excellence at the national level.
Diganth was trained and mentored by Sub Lieutenant Thejaswi Bhat, NCC Officer of the Naval Wing, whose guidance played a vital role in the cadet’s success.
Principal Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, along with the faculty and students of St Philomena College, congratulated Cadet Captain Diganth V. S. on his remarkable achievement and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
