Navachethana Wellness and Counselling Centre Hosts Four-Day Webinar on ‘Midlife Crisis: Navigating Challenges and Opportunities’
Mangaluru: Navachethana Wellness and Counselling Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Psychology, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, successfully conducted a four-day expert webinar series titled “Midlife Crisis: Navigating Challenges and Opportunities” from 12 to 15 January 2026. The sessions were held online via Google Meet between 8.00 pm and 9.00 pm.
The webinar series aimed to create awareness about the psychological, physical, and social challenges experienced during midlife and to promote holistic well-being among participants. The initiative was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
On Day 1 (12 January 2026), Mrs Vinatha K, TEDx Speaker and Retired Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology, St Agnes College (Autonomous), delivered an insightful session titled “The Modern Midlife Crisis: Understanding Transitions and Coping.” She elaborated on emotional and psychological transitions in midlife, common stressors, identity shifts, and practical coping strategies to manage change effectively.

The Day 2 session (13 January 2026) featured Dr Vivek V. Kumar, Clinical Director and Chief Fertility Consultant, Wishborn Women’s Clinic and Fertility Centre, Angamaly, Kerala. His talk, “Strong Through Midlife: Navigating Physical Health and Hormonal Transitions,” focused on hormonal changes, reproductive health, menopause, and the importance of maintaining physical well-being during midlife.
On Day 3 (14 January 2026), Dr Sapna D, Professor, Sharada Ayurveda Medical College Hospital, Thalapady, Mangaluru, presented a session on “Nutritional Health for Brain, Body and Mind.” She highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, Ayurveda-based lifestyle practices, and mindful dietary habits in sustaining mental and physical health.
The concluding session on Day 4 (15 January 2026) was conducted by Ms Kripanjali Tellis Nayak, Registered Nurse, Senior Living Consultant, Soft Skills Trainer, and Motivational Speaker. Her session, “Reinvention & Purpose: Midlife as a Second Beginning,” inspired participants to view midlife as a phase of renewal, growth, and purposeful living rather than decline.
The webinar series received positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the expert insights, practical guidance, and relevance of the topics discussed. The programme successfully met its objective of promoting mental health awareness, holistic well-being, and a positive perspective on midlife transitions.
