A New Vision of Care: Blessing and Commissioning of Advanced Radiography System at FMMCH
Mangaluru: Father Muller Medical College Hospital marked a significant milestone in its commitment to patient-centered care with the blessing and commissioning of its latest radiography equipment, the FLEXAVISION F4 Digital Fluoroscopy System, on May 1, 2026.
The occasion coincided meaningfully with the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker—also observed as International Labour Day—invoking divine grace upon this advancement in the institution’s healing ministry.

The Festal Mass and the Rite of Blessing were led by Rev. Fr. Vincent Vinod Saldanha, Manager of Codialbail Press, Yeyyadi, Mangaluru. Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director of FMCI, concelebrated the Eucharistic celebration along with other priests of the Father Muller management. The clergy later joined in the solemn blessing and commissioning of the equipment.
In his address, Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo dedicated the new acquisition to the service of patients, emphasizing that the integration of this advanced system would enhance diagnostic efficiency and streamline radiographic processes, thereby benefiting the institution’s growing patient base.
The gathering was formally welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ram Shenoy Basti, Head of the Department of Radio-diagnosis & Imaging. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. H.B. Suresh, Head of Interventional Radiology, Prof. Dr. Krishna Kiran, faculty members, staff, and postgraduate students.

Rev. Fr. George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator, FMMCH, and Rev. Fr. Nilesh Crasta, Administrator, FMHMCH, were also present, extending their blessings and good wishes. Representing Shimadzu Corporation, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Dubey, Assistant Manager (Sales), attended the ceremony.
