AGNOVERSE 2026: St. Agnes College Gives Freshers a Grand Welcome with a Week of Talent and Celebration
Mangaluru, July 18: St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, welcomed its first-year students with AGNOVERSE 2026, a vibrant Fresher’s Day celebration held at the Centenary Auditorium. Centred on the theme “Web Series,” the event transformed the campus into a colourful world inspired by some of the most popular web series, offering freshers a memorable introduction to college life.
The celebration aimed to foster interaction among students, encourage participation in extracurricular activities, and provide a platform for showcasing their talents while creating lasting memories at the beginning of their academic journey.
A major highlight of AGNOVERSE 2026 was the series of competitions conducted throughout Freshers’ Week, giving students opportunities to exhibit their creativity, leadership, intellect, artistic abilities, and teamwork. The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation, with freshers displaying remarkable confidence, innovation, and competitive spirit.
B.Com. FinTech emerged as the Overall Champions of AGNOVERSE 2026 for their consistent performance across the week’s events, while BBA ‘B’ secured the Overall Runners-up title.
The much-awaited Mr. and Miss Fresher 2026 competition featured multiple rounds designed to assess the contestants’ confidence, communication skills, creativity, personality, and stage presence. At the end of an exciting finale, Aashna Jewel D’Souza of B.Com. FinTech was crowned Miss Fresher 2026, while Alistair N. Pinto, also from B.Com. FinTech, won the title of Mr. Fresher 2026.
The programme began with an invocation seeking God’s blessings and was attended by Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., Principal; Sr. Dr. Roopa Rodrigues A.C., Vice-Principal; the Registrar, faculty members, Student Council members, and the newly admitted students.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C. congratulated the winners and encouraged the freshers to make the best use of the opportunities offered by the institution. She emphasised that confidence, determination, and active participation are the keys to a fulfilling and successful college life.
The celebrations concluded with interactive games and entertainment organised by the Student Council, providing students with an opportunity to relax, bond with their peers, and build new friendships.
Filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and vibrant performances, AGNOVERSE 2026 marked a memorable beginning to the academic journey of the new batch, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie and holistic development that St. Agnes College strives to foster.
