P.A. First Grade College Welcomes Freshers with Orientation Programme 2026–27
Mangaluru, July 22: P.A. First Grade College organised its Orientation Programme for the academic year 2026–27 on July 22 at the PACE Auditorium, welcoming first-year undergraduate students and their parents to the institution.
The programme commenced with an invocation by Mr. Nazim Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr. G. Harikrishnan, Vice Principal, greeted the dignitaries, students, parents and faculty members. The dignitaries were welcomed with saplings, and the new academic year was symbolically inaugurated through the ceremonial watering of a plant, representing growth, knowledge and new beginnings.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Rameez M. K., Principal of P.A. Engineering College, encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities available during their college life. He stressed the importance of developing a positive personality, acquiring knowledge and building the skills required for a successful future.
The programme also featured addresses by Mr. Sharath Venugopal, Head of Institutional Partnerships, International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), Kerala, and Ms. Nandadevi K. V., UK Regional Manager, ISDC. They motivated the students to embrace learning opportunities and wished them success in their academic journey.
In his presidential address, Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal of P.A. First Grade College, urged the students to remain focused on their career goals, make effective use of the facilities and opportunities available on campus, and strive for academic excellence while upholding discipline and values.
Dr. Sayyad Ameen Ahammad, Dean of Student Affairs, briefed the students on the institution’s campus facilities, code of conduct, rules and regulations, encouraging them to maintain discipline and actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities.
During the programme, the Principal felicitated the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour in appreciation of their presence and valuable contributions.
The class guides and mentors were also introduced to the students and their parents, enabling them to become acquainted with the faculty members who will guide them throughout their academic journey.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Muneera A., Head of the Department of English, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, parents and organisers for making the programme a success.
Among those present were Dr. Afifa Saleem, Principal, PAIP; Dr. Iqbal, Physical Director, PAET; Prof. Ismail Khan, Principal, PAPT; Mr. Muhammad Faizal N., Head of CPOD and Corporate Relations; Mr. Sharafuddin P. K., AGM – Campus; Mr. Haris T. D., Purchase Manager; Heads of various Departments; and Programme Coordinators Ms. Sreeja M., Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, and Ms. Jayalakshmi K., Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, along with faculty members, students and parents.
The orientation programme concluded on a positive note, marking the beginning of a new academic journey filled with learning, growth and opportunities for the incoming students.
