SJEC Men’s Volleyball Team Emerges as Runners-Up
Mangaluru: The Men’s Volleyball team of St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) emerged as Runners-Up in the VTU Mangaluru Division Volleyball Tournament held at SCEM, Adyar, on April 27 and 28, 2026.
The team delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament under the guidance of Ms. Vaneesha V. Rodrigues, Physical Education Director (PED), and Mr. Sudheer M., Assistant PED.
Adding to the achievement, Mr. Karthik Raj, a third-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) student, was adjudged the Best All-Rounder of the tournament.
The team comprised talented players from both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes: Kevin Monteiro (1st Year MBA), Harsha Kumar (4th Semester Civil), Vishal Fernandes (2nd Semester Mechanical), Karthik Gouda (6th Semester CSE), Vedant Tamse (2nd Semester AIML), Pramith P. Devadiga (2nd Semester CSDS), Abhinandan Bekal (2nd Semester Mechanical), Rahil Rodrigues (4th Semester CSE), Koushik Raj (4th Semester EEE), Joshua Fernandes (2nd Semester CSDS), Bhuvanesh (3rd Year ECE), and Skanda (4th Semester Mechanical Engineering).
The management of SJEC congratulated the team and the Physical Education Directors for bringing laurels to the institution with this commendable achievement.
