Ladyhill School (ICSE) Conducts Parent Orientation Programmes for Grades I to IV
Mangaluru, June 25: Ladyhill School (ICSE), Urwa, organised Parent Orientation Programmes for the parents of students from Grades I to IV, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the partnership between parents and educators in nurturing confident, responsible, and well-rounded learners for the academic year 2026–27.
The orientation programme for Grades III and IV, held on June 24, began with a prayer service followed by a colourful cultural presentation by the students. Teacher Keerthi welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, Ms. Verina Joshna, counsellor and life skills facilitator, Mangaluru.
Delivering the keynote address on “Beyond Screen Time: Building Healthy Digital Habits,” Ms. Verina Joshna highlighted the importance of responsible digital parenting. She encouraged parents to maintain open communication with their children, establish healthy screen-time boundaries, spend quality time together, and create a supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and holistic development.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Sr. Therese Teena A.C. stressed the importance of a strong partnership between parents and teachers in shaping confident, responsible, and successful learners. She urged parents to actively support their children’s academic and personal growth. Class teachers familiarised parents with the curriculum, assessment and examination patterns, school policies, the PTA Audit Report, and the effective use of the NeverSkip App.
The Parent-Teacher Executive Committee (PTEC) elections were conducted by Administrator Sr. Ida Barboza A.C., encouraging greater parental involvement in school activities. The programme concluded with an interactive session, allowing parents to seek clarifications and exchange ideas. Teacher Winnie Crasta proposed the vote of thanks, while Teacher Navomi Yashavanthi compered the programme.
The Grades I and II Parent Orientation Programme was held on June 25 and commenced with a prayer service followed by a vibrant cultural performance by the students. Sr. Reema Sheetal D’Mello A.C. welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of collaboration between parents and educators during a child’s formative years.
The keynote session on “Tiny Hands, Big Screens: Smart Parenting in the Digital Age” was delivered by Ms. Shilpa B. B., Marketing Editor, Ratnasagar Publication. She encouraged parents to cultivate healthy digital habits, balance technology with meaningful family time, promote active lifestyles, and instil positive values that support children’s overall development.

Principal Sr. Therese Teena A.C. reiterated the crucial role of parents in creating a positive and nurturing environment for children. She encouraged parents to work closely with the school in shaping confident and compassionate young learners. Teachers briefed parents on the curriculum, assessment methods, school policies, PTA Audit Report, and the use of the NeverSkip App.
